More details about buses and train including timetables and routes etc. are available on the Sydney buses website: and the UNSW Transport website.
A quick summary of the relevant buses are:

Bus numbers to and from the South and Western city: 370

Visa Information (for International Participants):
A reminder that all foreign citizens (New Zealand citizens excepted) are required to obtain a visa before travelling to Australia. Visas can be obtained (in many cases) online through the Australian Department of Immigration. The online visa application is known as an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) and in this case it's appropriate to apply for a 'Short Validity Business ETA'. Visas should be obtained AT LEAST 3 WEEKS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE.

For countries where a Letter or Invitation is required for visa application, please contact the LOC chair Lucyna Chudzer through the conference email address

There is free street parking a short distance from the School of Physics (e.g. down Willis St, Willis Ln, Forsyth St, and Middle St as indicated in orange below) though the very closest street parks are only 1-2hr zones. There is plenty of parking available in UNSW in the nearby parking building accessible off Barker st. (indicated as UNSW Capark in the map below), this "pay and display" parking is strictly enforced and costs around $15/day.
